Pinterest Inspiration Board – Newborns

The reason why I don’t have 12 kids. I get to come and cuddle up on yours! Oh and of course take your new little sweetie pie’s pictures.

And on to the wee ones.

I am not your typical studio newborn photographer. Newborn sessions are done on location, either at client’s home or other location. I don’t have a studio. I prefer to use the client’s home as much as possible as the background and go for a more natural feel. I will bring a little setup that will be used for some newborn only pics. What am I really wanting to do? Capture you and your baby and whoever else.

I think back to my first baby. He is almost 7 now! I remember how I felt, how weirdly new and exciting everything was and horribly scary at the same time. We lived in a little apartment above a video store. I can picture the apartment, filled mostly with furniture that I don’t own anymore. THAT is what I want to capture. Yes, I can and will take pictures of your sweet little baby wrapped up in a blanket of some sort. Most importantly we want to remember that tiny little face and those tiny little toes, and every other inch of that tiny little body. But Seeing that old couch in the background. Or the bottles in the sink. Those stir memories. That’s what I want to capture. A little extra to make you feel the same way you felt when your baby was teeny tiny. And YOU! What’s that? You think you are too chubby and tired looking? OWN IT!!! Girl, you just grew a human being inside of you for 9months and then pushed a human being out of YOUR body. Just think about that for a moment. You don’t have to like them right away. But in a few years you will be able to look back at your pictures and not only see that immediate beautiful bond between you and this tiny human, you will also see just how big your butt was. OH MY GOSH I AM KIDDING! Sorry, I shouldn’t drink coffee in the afternoon. I think woman glow more right after having a baby than when they are pregnant.

Back to Pinterest. I created a board for a little inspiration and to also show you some examples of your non traditional, more lifestyle type newborn photography.  I should mention, I did not take all of the beautiful images in this board. All pictures in this blog post are mine.
