Canon 7D vs. Canon Mark iii

I am not going to get into the technical stuff about these two cameras. You can find it all over the Internet.
I just did a  quick comparison with the two. I recently bought the Canon Mark iii. Literally not even 15 min after I opened the box I did this test. I had been thinking I was having focusing issues with my 7d, but just kept blaming it on myself or the lens or anything. But now that I have this new beast of a camera, I know it was the camera.

Ok, so the test I did. Don’t mind the clutter, but I literally laid down on the floor and shot this sippy cup with the same everything on both cameras. I used the same settings, and also used my 50mm 1.4 lens on both.
I actually took 6 pictures with each camera. I only used 2 since I figured you could see the differences better since they would be larger.
The top pictures were taken with my mark iii and bottom pics were taken with my 7D.
All 6 pictures with the mark iii were as sharp as the 2 posted here.
The bottom right picture was the ONLY sharp picture I got with the 7d. That’s right gang, out of 6 pictures ONE was in focus!
